Pfeiffer, Commissioners <br />Bobby J. 8vrgin, E, A. Thomas, Charles D. Boyle, and H. Gould <br />Crofoot. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PR ESENT: City Administrator P. V. Werner, City <br />Attorney Knox W. Askins, and City Clerk Marilyn Kelley. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor ~P'feiffer. <br />+ + + <br />~. Commissioner Thomas made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle, that Southern Pacific Railroad Company be advised <br />that closing of the streets and alleys, that they have asked <br />to be closed, will not be beneficial fo La Porte, therefore <br />the request will be denied. Motion carried. <br />+ + t <br />2. A motion was made by Commissioner Burgin, seconded by Commissioner <br />Crofoot and carried, that the City Administrator be authorized <br />to proceed with Phase 1 of the street improvement program. <br />t + + <br />3. The Commission received the following tabulation of bids <br />for the sale of a 9959 Booster Fire Truck, Less radio: <br />Lomax Volunteer Fire Department X600.00 <br />City of Morgans Point 876.00 <br />Commissioner Crofoot made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle, that the truck be sold to the high bidder, City of Morgans <br />Point, for ,x'876.00. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />4. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner <br />Burgin and carried, that the boys at Boys Harbor be allowed to <br />use the swimming pool for the same fee as last year, $25.00. <br />+ + + <br />
