Freeman and Superintendent of <br />Public Works Dick Cunningham. <br />PAES~~NG s Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />2. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July ?, 1969 <br />were approved as written. <br />2. Mayor Pfeiffer stated that due to the illness oP his <br />Attorney, Mr. Sonny Applebe would not attend the meeting <br />but requested that Mr. Applebes name be placed on the <br />Agenda for the neat regular meeting. Also that Mr. Carlos <br />Smith could not attend the meeting, but Mr. Smith would <br />submit a report on the street work guarantee to the <br />Commission. <br />3. City Attorney Knox Askins stated he is in the process <br />of prepairing an agreement with Mr. Joe Camp for the <br />closing of street and alleys between blocks 123 and 124. <br />4. Mr. Askins reported he had been in contact with mr. <br />Eckhardt of the Houston Natural Gas Corp. and hoped <br />to have something more to report at the next meeting <br />on the franchise contract. <br />5. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Thomas that Ordinance No. 824 be passed. Motion carried. <br />Ca bon s <br />AN ~RDINANCE MAKING APPROPROATIONS FOR SUPPORT OF THE <br />GOVERTMENT OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, FOR THE <br />FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1969 and ENDING JUNE 30, <br />19~®, AND LEVYING A TAX OF $.92 ON EACH X100.00 of <br />ASSESSED VALUE OF ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY LOCATED <br />WITHIN SAID C ITY . <br />6. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Burgin that the City advertise bids for one(1) Police Car <br />and one(1) special Ambulance type vehicle. Motion carried. <br />?. Commissioner Hurgin made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle that the radio in the dog catchers old truck be <br />given to the Emergency Corps. Motion carried. <br />l <br />
