• • <br />MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTS, TEXAS <br />MARCH 16, 1970 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H.P.Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners E.A. Thomas, Charles D. Boyle, Bobby J. Burgin, <br />and H. Gould Crofoot. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: P.V.Werner, City Administrator; <br />Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; <br />Robert Cline, Director of Public 'Works; and H. F. Freeman, <br />Chief of Police. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of March 2, 1970, <br />were approved as presented. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. Werner stated that he had received a reply from <br />the Colonial Drive-In Theatre in regards to the sewer <br />service to their property and they did not want the <br />service. <br />Mr. Askins stated the City could have an assessment <br />program to install the sewer service. The program <br />would be along the same lines as the previous street <br />paving assessment program. <br />+ + + <br />3. Discussion was held on Mr. Dale Porter's request <br />to close the alley in block 1100. <br />Harris County Flood Control had stated an objection <br />to the fence being installed across Little Cedar <br />Bayou. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer stated this would have to be resolved <br />between Mr. Porter and Harris County Flood Control. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded <br />by Commissioner Thomas that Mr. Porter's request <br />
