r i <br />MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTS, TEXAS <br />APRIL 6, 1970 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners E. A. Thomas, Charles D. Boyle, Bobby J. Burgin, <br />and H. Gould Crofoot. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: P. V. Werner, City Administrator; <br />Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; <br />Robert Cline, Director of Public Works; and H. F. Freeman, <br />Chief of Police. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of March 16, 1970, <br />and the special meeting of March 30, 1970, were <br />approved as presented. <br />+ + + <br />2. A canvass of the votes cast in the Municipal <br />Election, held on Saturday, April 4, 1970, <br />was made. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded <br />by Commissioner Thomas that Ordinance No. 853 <br />be adopted as read. Motion carried by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Boyle, Burgin, and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR <br />ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTS ON APRIL 4, <br />1970, FOR THE ELECTION OF A MAYOR ; A CITY COMMISSIONER, <br />POSITION 2; AND A CITY COMMISSIONER, POSITION 4. <br />+ + + <br />3.
