<br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONVEY AN EASEMENT OUT
<br />OF AN ALLEYWAY LOCATED IN BLOCK TWENTY-TWO (22) OF BAYFRONT
<br />ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS.
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />1. WHEREAS, George L. Johnson and wife, Patsy Johnson, are
<br />the owners of Lots 1 and 2, Block 22, of BAYFRONT ADDITION
<br />in La Porte, Harris County, Texas, upon which there is
<br />situated and has been situated for a number of years, a
<br />2-story residential dwelling with garage and porch, which
<br />encroaches on the alleyway located in said Block 22, a
<br />distance of some five or more feet.

<br />2. WHEREAS, it appears to the said City Commission that said
<br />alleyway is not in fact presently utilized, and that the
<br />said home owners! rights should be stablished by granting
<br />them an easement on said alleyway to the extent of their
<br />encroachment, plus a reasonable use area.
<br />

<br />THEREFORE, the Mayor of the City of La Porte is hereby
<br />authorized and directed to grant and convey unto the said
<br />George L. Johnson and wife, Patsy Johnson, their heirs
<br />and assigns, a perpetual easement in said alleyway,
<br />described as follows, to-wit:

<br />COMMENCING at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 22,
<br />BAY FRONT ADDITION, La Porte, Harris County, Texas,
<br />THENCE, N.37045'E. along the north line of said
<br />Lot 1, Block 22, BAYFRONT ADDITION,: a distance of 11. 70
<br />feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING;
<br />THENCE, N.52015'W., perpendicular to the north line
<br />of said Lot 1, Block 22, a distance of 7.00 feet to a
<br />point for corner;
<br />THENCE, N.37045'E., parallel to and 7.00' north of
<br />the north line of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Block 22, BAYFRONT
<br />ADDITION, a distance of 34.50 feet to a point for corner;
<br />THENCE, S.52!15'E., perpendicular to the north line
<br />of Lot 2, Block 22, a distance of 7.00 feet to the north
<br />line of said Lot 2, Block 22;
<br />THENCE, S.37045'W., along the north line of said
<br />Lot 2, and Lot 1, Block 22, BAY FRONT ADDITION, La Porte,
<br />Harris County, Texas, a distance of 34.50 feet to the
<br />PLACE OF BEGINNING,
<br />
<br />with the provision that said easement shall cease and
<br />revert to the City of La Porte in the event the improve-
<br />ments presently situated on the said property be removed
<br />or destroyed.
