<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 68- 6~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, t~e work of the Harris County Flood Control <br /> <br />District in the La Porte-Bay shore Area over the years has <br /> <br />improved the surface drainage of the area, and has diminished <br /> <br />the risk of dangers from flooding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Harris County Flood Control District is <br /> <br />in need of additional funds to continue its construction of <br /> <br />flood control projects in Harris County and the La Porte-Bayshore <br /> <br />Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the improvement of Almeda-Genoa Road would <br />~ provide additional needed major access road for the La Porte- <br /> <br />Bayshore Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioners Court of Harris County, <br /> <br />Texas, has called a $30 Million Dollar Flood Control Bond Issue, <br /> <br />and a $31 Million Dollar Road Bond Issue, to be voted on at an <br /> <br />election to be held on July 27,1968: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE <br />CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, <br />THAT: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Commission of the City of La Porte <br />wishes to go on record as favori~g the passage of the $30 Million <br />Dollar Flood Control Bond Issue, and the $31 Million Dollar Road <br /> <br />Bond Issue, at an election to be held July 27, 1968, and u~ges <br />the voters in the La Porte-Bayshore Area to vote in favor of <br />these issues, to provide needed public improvements in the <br /> <br />La Porte-Bayshore Area. <br /> <br />PASSED and APPROVED, this the LL::!::t. day of July, 1968. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />~~~~.J '-i:::.d/~~.. <br />Cl.
