", .. . _4 .e . .' ..- RESOLUTION # )6-65 WHEREAS, the City of La Porte owns the following des- cribed real p~operty: ---- The South Fourteen (14) feet of Lot No. Twenty-Two (22), in Block No. Sixty (60), of the ToWn of La Porte, in Harris County, Texas, accordingto the map 0:1:' plat thereof recorded in the office of the County Clerk of said County, to which reference is here made for all purposes, SAVE AND EXCEPT the South Six (6) feet of said Lot No. Twenty~TwO (22), Block No. Sixty (60), Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, which was heretofore conveyed by the City of La Porte. and WHEREAS, the City of La Porte is no longer making use of the hereinabove described real property, and the City Commission of the City of La Porte is of the opinion and finds that said hereinabove described real property is no longer needed for any purpose by the City, and that it would be to the best interest of the City that said property be sold to the highest .. responsible bidder: ,NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMiSSION OF THE CITY OF IA PORTE, TEX.2\.S, that the hereinabove described real property be sold to ~he highest responsible bidder, and that said sale be conducted in the manner prescribed by Section 66, of the Home Rule Charter of the City of La Porte, as provided in said Section for the sale of property belonging to the City havings an estimated value of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or les,s ~ that the Acting City Clerk of the City of La Porte be, and she is here- by, authorized and instructed to prepare and post notices of said sale in not less than three (3) publ~c places within the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, for a period of at least ten (10) days prior to the date of said sa1e~ that the sale of said property shall be with the provision that the property shall be used for a -....,.
