<br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />J' ./~ - €'.s- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ;f .:l/ <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Whereas~ the City Commission of the City of La Porte <br />has heretofore constructed a public swimming pool, and has <br />authorized the construction of a community recreation building, <br />on lots owned by it in Block 267, Town of La Porte, Harris <br /> <br />County~ Texasj and <br /> <br />Whereas~ the City Commission of the City of La Porte <br />has found that public necessity requires the. location, construc- <br />tlon~ operation and maintenance of a public park and recreation <br />facilities on the remaining lots in Block 267~ Town of La Porte, <br /> <br />Harris County, Texasj and <br /> <br />." ., <br />-- <br /> <br />'---......., <br /> <br />Whereas, the City Commission of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />has found and determined that the fee simple title in and to the <br />~ hereinafter described land is suitable for such purpose and that <br />it is necessary to acquire same for such public park, as afore- <br />saidj <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Commission <br />of the City of La Porte: <br />That the City Attorney of the City of La Porte be, and <br />he is hereby, authorized to negotiate with the owners of such <br />hereinafter described land, as to the purchase thereof by the <br />City of La Porte at its fair market value, and, should the <br />~ City Attorney, as the duly authorized representative of the <br />City of La Porte, be unable to agree with such owners as to the <br />fair market value thereof~ then, and in that event, the City <br /> <br />Attorney of the City of La Porte be and he is hereby authorized <br /> <br />and directed to file 'against all owners and lien holders, <br />proceedings in eminent domain to acquire the fee simple title for <br />said purposes in and to the following described tract of land, <br /> <br />to wit: <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Lots One (1) to Four (4), both inclusivej <br />Lot Eight (8)j Lots Fifteen (15) to Seventeen <br />(17), both'inclusivej and Lots Twenty-five (25) <br />to Twenty-eight (28), both inclusivej all in <br />Block Two Hundred Sixty-seven (267), Town of <br />La Porte, Harris County, Texas, according to <br />
