COMPRIS ING A PORTION OF <br />LEONE AND OLIVE AVENUE BETWEEN BLOCKS 33 AND 34, BEACH PARK <br />SUBDIVISION (AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 67, PAGE 148, HARRIS COUNTY <br />DEED RECORDS), JOHNSON HUNTER SURVEY, A-35, IN THE TOWN OF LA <br />PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS AND IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED <br />BY METES AND BOUNDS ON EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED HERETO AND FULLy <br />INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE HEREIN: FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has been <br /> <br />requested by the record owners of all of the property abutting <br /> <br />the hereinafter described portion of Olive and Leone Streets <br /> <br />in the City of La Porte, to vacate, abandon, and permanently <br /> <br />close that portion of Olive and Leone Streets: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />determined, and does hereby find, determine and declare that <br /> <br />the hereinafter described portion of Olive and Leone Streets <br /> <br />is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a <br /> <br />public road or street, and that the closing of the hereinafter <br /> <br />described portion of Olive and Leone Streets is for the protection <br /> <br />of the public and for the public interest and benefit, and <br /> <br />that the hereinafter described portion of said Olive and Leone <br /> <br />Streets should be vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. Under and by virtue of the power granted to <br /> <br />the City of La Porte under its Home Rule Charter and Chap. 13, <br /> <br />Title 28, Art. 1175, of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State <br /> <br />of Texas, 1925, the hereinafter described property is hereby <br /> <br />permanently vacated, abandoned, and closed by the City of <br /> <br />La Porte, to-wit: <br /> <br />Being a 0.4484 acre tract (l9, 534 sq. ft.) compr1s1ng a <br />portion of Leone and Olive Avenue between Blocks 33 and 34, <br />Beach Park Subdivision (as recorded in Volume 67, Page 148, <br />Harris County Deed Records), Johnson Hunter Survey, A-35, <br />in the Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas and is more <br />particularly described by metes and bounds on Exhibit "A", <br />attached hereto and fully incorporated by reference herein. <br />
