D. 1952, IN THE CITY ()]' LA PORTE, TEXAS, .lIND COillITSSION- <br />:ING THE omcms ELECTED. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of La Porte, Texas, that on <br />'hhe 1st dq of May, A. D., 1952, came on to be considered t he returns of the regular <br />biennial election held on the 22nd dq of April, 1952, in the City of La Porte, <br /> <br />Ha rris County, Texas, for the purpose of electing a Mayar and tv70 Commissioners; <br />i.t appearing to the I!ilayor and City Co:mrn:issioners duly assembled for the purpose of' <br />c:onsidering such retU["ns that the aforesaid election was duly and regularly ordered <br />by the Hayor end City Commissioners; that said election was duly and regularly held <br />in accordance ,'rith 1m and a duly passed city ordinance ordering the same; that <br />proper returns were duly and regularly made to the :Mayor (lIld City Commissioners as <br />provided by laJi'T; and that at said election votes ,'rere cast by eleven hundred and <br />ninety tht'ee (1193) qualified voters in the following marner, to-wit: <br /> <br />F:JRJIlAYOR: <br /> <br />Mercer D.
