Agee, F.R. Boyle, J.J. Roark, Fred Pi. Ruf'f', <br />r4?mutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />Election Officials <br />Th© mayor appointed the following election officials to officiate at the <br />annual City election to be held at the La Porte City Hall Building on the <br />6th day of April, 1937, F.Y. Reynolds,?.~rs "'im. Casteel, Mrs Claude De r~eese, <br />Per Joseph Clough.. ~~Ibtaon by..Ald.. Bow le,sdc9nd by A1d..Ruff that the'"a~point- <br />~,._ - ~_ _ <br />menu of the ~i1ayor die confirmed. Carried• <br />Bids- Ydater Tank-Fire Truck <br />Bids on a tiYater Tank for the Fire Dept. Truck were opened as follovrs: <br />A.ce Distributing Cg. ~185.25,xahn & Clay~26?_~50, vvyatt Metal & Boiler Vuorks <br />~151.DO,Electric Yielding & Engineering Co.~169.50. <br />R4otion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald. Roark, that the Council award the contract <br />to the lowest bidder on the particular specifications, namely, Electric Yielding <br />& Engineering Com whose bid was X169.50,-and that on delivery and acceptance <br />by the Fire Committee and the Fire Chief that the City Secretary be instructed <br />to issue a warrant for the amount of the invoice. Carried <br />Reports from the following Committees were recei~-ed; <br />Ald. Agee ck Ruff on installation of a Pay Teleprone in La F'~rto asked-for more <br />time and tYs committee was continued. <br />Ald. Ruff and Roark, Com. on matter of W.S.H.Minchen taxes asked for more time <br />and this committee was continued. <br />Chairman Boyle of Street 8c Alley Com. reported that shall on Interurban right- <br />of way was not worth considering for street purposes. <br />Ald. Roark and Ruff presented a written report on the condition of A.S. Hamilton <br />which had been prepared. by D.F. Aves,b?.D. This report was placed on file. <br />A.S. Hamilton compensation <br />Motion by A}d. Ruff second by Ald. Agee, that A.S. Hamilton compensation be <br />continued for another two weeks; from March 19th to April lst,1937, both in- <br />clusive, at the rate of 60~ of his regule.r wages of I~O~ per hour for fi hour <br />day for the working days of said period from March 19th to April l~st,lg37. <br />Bids on Audit <br />Bids for the annual audit of the City's accounts were opened as follows: <br />?!.~c Guire,lt?azur & Co. .~150.C0, Learned & Tapp X125.00. <br />Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Ruff that the bid on the audit be <br />aware to Learned & Tapp, low bidders, on''their.:.bid of X125.00. Carried <br />over <br />
