Carried <br />?o.~.~:F Motion by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the City Secretary be instructed to <br />write a letter to the Houston Lighting & Power Co. at Houston, Texas, re- <br />questing that a representative of the Company be present at the next City <br />Council meeting on September 25th to ®zplain the new rates now charged the <br />City of La Porte by the Houston Lighting Fc Power Co• Carried <br />y~ater The City Secretary presented a letter from the Austin Branch of the United <br />Anal~~sis States H+~pt. of the Interior, Geological Survey, containing an analysis of <br />samples of water of the two City wells, designated as Harris County well <br />No.1101.~ and 1181.~A On motion by Ruff, second by Boyle, this letter was <br />ordered placed on file for future reference. <br />~ Copper A letter from the Well ~ Machinery Co. of Fort Worth, Texas, on the price <br />tubing of copper tubing was also ordered planed on file. <br />'~ix•e Maryor Sharp reported that he had called the State Fire Insurance Coxmnission <br />Reports Office in regard to the monthlyy fire reports and found that the reports had <br />been received in time so that •the City was not penalized. <br />
