Carried ?o.~.~:F Motion by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the City Secretary be instructed to write a letter to the Houston Lighting & Power Co. at Houston, Texas, re- questing that a representative of the Company be present at the next City Council meeting on September 25th to ®zplain the new rates now charged the City of La Porte by the Houston Lighting Fc Power Co• Carried y~ater The City Secretary presented a letter from the Austin Branch of the United Anal~~sis States H+~pt. of the Interior, Geological Survey, containing an analysis of samples of water of the two City wells, designated as Harris County well No.1101.~ and 1181.~A On motion by Ruff, second by Boyle, this letter was ordered placed on file for future reference. ~ Copper A letter from the Well ~ Machinery Co. of Fort Worth, Texas, on the price tubing of copper tubing was also ordered planed on file. '~ix•e Maryor Sharp reported that he had called the State Fire Insurance Coxmnission Reports Office in regard to the monthlyy fire reports and found that the reports had been received in time so that •the City was not penalized.
