P. <br />Pfeiffer, with the followinJ members present: Commissioners Stabs, Brown, <br />and Dunham, Attorney Pitman and City Clerk Baker. <br />A~.~o present were the following: Robert Breaker, Albert E. Cleere, E. S. <br />Porter., Jr,, C. L. 1levity, Earl W. Oorley, Robert I!ti.llwee, S.R. Bru.nmerhop, <br />P. ~T. Brown and C, K, Gale, Jr. <br />This group appeared before the City Commission to request that the City <br />consider releasing a certain area in Seabrook, so that they could incor- <br />porate. Mr, Cleere stated that he was not in a position to say whether <br />it was good or bad to be in the City of La Porte, Mr.Porter also expressed <br />about the same feelings, and offered any information they posses~eecy that <br />would benefit La Porte. <br />Motion by Stabs, second by Dunham, that Ordinance No. 589 be adopted as <br />read, The caption of such adopted ordinance reads as follows: <br />AN Cf~DIlVANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY <br />LYING WITHIN BLOCK 165, IN THE T04"~iN 0~' LA PO RTE. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that t he meeting adjourn. <br />Carried. <br />lT~./ <br />.
