The meeting was called to order by Mayor Malone at 6:23 P.M. <br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Norman Malone, <br />Councilpersons Delbert Walker, John Lloyd, Ed Matuszak, Betty <br />Waters, Lindsay Pfei~'fer, Deotis Gay, B. Don Skelton, Linda <br />Westergren <br />Members of City CQu~cil bent: None <br />Members of Citv Staff Present: City Manager Jack Owen, City <br />Attorney Knox Askins, City Secretary Cherie Black, Assistant <br />City Manager Richard Hare, Director of Public Works Jerry <br />Hodge, Acting Police Chief Robert Hall, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works Luther Maxey, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Stan Sherwood, Purchasing Agent Jackson Ray <br />• Others Present: Charles Young; Pete Fisher, Moroney & <br />Beissner; Bob Reach, Turner Collie & Braden; Buddy Jacobs, <br />Water/Wastewater Superintendent; Renee Boxman, Administrative <br />Intern; Pam Smith, Bayshore Sun; 6 citizens <br />2. Council considered declaring an emergency and authorizing <br />advertisement for bids for installation of sewer line across <br />Highway 146 at "K" Street prior to overpass construction. <br />Director of Public Works Jerry Hodge and Bob Reach of Turner <br />Collie & Braden addressed the urgency of installation of this <br />sewer line prior to the State's construction of the overpass <br />at Highway 146 and Fairmont Parkway. <br />Motion was made by_Counc~lperson Skelton to dec <br />emerg~cy and authorize a~e_rtis~ap,,for bids for install tion <br />of sewer line across Highwav 146 at "EC" Street prior to <br />overpass construction. Second by Council person Walker. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
