1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 3:01 p.m. Members present: Keith Trainer, Les Bird, and Debra Gallington 2�. Consider approval of minutes from the September 23, 2015, meeting. Les Bird made a motion to approve the September 23, 2015„ minutes with the following changes added: The Commission also discussed and reaffirmed the current promotional list is valid for one, year from the date the test is taken, which is provided in Chaptei, 143 of the Texas Local Government Code. The promotional list will be valid through December 9, 2015. Chairman Trainer also mentioned the Commission should start now selecting malehadi and the next exam date so as to allow time for officers to study. There was a suggestion to add a statement in the La Porte Police Officers'Civil Service Rules and Regulations that tenets in Chapter 143 of the Texas Locai Government Code would override any local codes/rules/regulations. Les Bird made a motion to appoint Patrice Frz�qzrty;,is Civil Service Director. Debra Gallington seconded q the motion. Motion passed. 4. Commission Comments The next meeting is set for Thursday, 29, 'e"I'01 5, at 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber at City HaH. Patrice Fogarty will be posting the pfornotonal tests reading materials.
