<br />Police Civil Service Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />October 13, 2008 <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br />The Civil Service Meeting was called to order at 5:03 pm. <br /> <br />2. Consider approval of minutes from April 7, 2008 meeting. <br />Motion made to approve minutes made by Les Bird, seconded by Mike <br />Garcia, motion carried <br /> <br />3. Consider approval of minutes from September 29, 2008 meeting <br />Motion made to approve minutes made by Les Bird, seconded by Mike <br />Garcia, motion carried <br /> <br />4. Consider approval or other action regarding Physical Agility Exam <br />for Police Officers. <br />Les read the standards aloud. Les entertained a motion; Mike seconded <br />the motion, the motion carried. <br /> <br />5. Consider approval or other action amending the Local Civil Service <br />Rules. <br />Les entertained a motion, Mike seconded, the motion carried. <br /> <br />6. Administrative Reports <br />Chief Adcox gave report on new hires from previous Civil Service Exam. <br /> <br />7. Board Comments <br />Les commended the Police Department on response times during <br />Hurricane Ike and the curfew stops; Mike stated that the increased patrol <br />on the streets is comforting. <br /> <br />8.
