Martin, Leonard, Kaminski and J. Martin. <br />Absent: Councilmember Earp. Also present were City Secretary Patrice Fogarty, City Manager <br />Corby Alexander, and Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins. <br />2. INVOCATION — The invocation was given Dee Spears, Fairmont Park Church. <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Dottie <br />Kaminski. <br />4. PRESENTATIONS, PROCLAMATIONS, and RECOGNITIONS <br />(a) Proclamation — Fair Housing Month in the City of La Porte — Mayor Rigby <br />Mayor Rigby presented a proclamation on Fair Housing Month in the City of La Porte to Planning <br />and Development Director Tim Tietjens. <br />(b) Proclamation — Sexual Assault Awareness Month — Mayor Rigby <br />Mayor Rigby presented a proclamation in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month to Shannon <br />Nevoll from Bay Area Turning Point. <br />(c) Proclamation — Rose Hall Day — Mayor Rigby <br />Mayor Rigby presented a proclamation in honor of Rose Hall Day to her family members. <br />5. PUBLIC COMMENTS (Limited to five minutes per person.) <br />Bill Scott, 1722 Lomax School Road, addressed Council regarding claims made by the LPPD of his <br />behavior when visiting LPPD regarding a ticket given to his son's girlfriend, which he was <br />requesting be dismissed. <br />Barbara Norwine, 202 S. Lobit, addressed Council but did not speak due to her video not loading. <br />Amanda Barfield-Kastl, 219 Crescentview St., addressed Council praising the City Manager's Office <br />for their kindness and for going above and beyond to help citizens.
