IANDS 'ro WHICH THIS ORDINANCE APPLms This Ordinance shall apply to all areas of SPeCial flood hazard within the juris- diction of the City of La Porte. SECI'ION B. BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE AREAS OF SPECIAL FIDOD HAZARD The areas of special flood hazards identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in a scientific and engineering report entitled liThe Flood Insurance Study for the City of La Porte, Texas, II dated November, 1984, with accarrpanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Flood Boundary-Floodway Maps and any revisions thereto are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this Ordinance. SECl'ION C. ESTABLISHMENl' OF DEVEWPMENl' PERMIT A Developnent Pennit shall be required to ensure conforrrance with the provisions of this Ordinance. SECI'ION D. COMPLIANCE No structure or land shall hereafter be located, altered, or have its use changed without full conpliance with the term; of this Ordinance and other applicable regulations. SECI'ION E. ABROGATION AND GRFATER RESTRIcrIONS This Ordinance is not intended to rePeal, abrogate, or inpair any existing ease- ments, covenants, or deed restrictions.
