<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN <br />OWNER AND ARCHITECT <br />FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />THIS IS AN AGREEMENT made as of February 8, 199B between the City of La <br /> <br /> <br />Porte, Texas (OWNER) and Hall I Barnum Architects (ARCHITECT). OWNER <br /> <br />intends to engage in Programming and Master Planning and eventually construct a <br /> <br />new Community Library (hereinafter called the PROJECT). <br /> <br />The OWNER and ARCHITECT agree as set forth below: <br /> <br />Architect will conduct an initial meeting with the Buildin~1 Committee to establish <br />overall goals for the project including function, image, cost, etc., set strategies for <br />the Programming/Master Planning process, and confirm milestone dates. Additional <br />meetings with the Friends of the Library, library activity groups, and library staff will <br />be scheduled as required. <br />Following these meetings this activity will involve threEl phases: Site Analysis, <br />Programming, Master Planning. <br /> <br />Phase 1: Site Analysis <br />Architect will review site information furnished by City and identify site issues which <br />will influence the design of the new library, including ima~~e, site features, access, <br />neighborhood, etc. <br /> <br />Phase 2: Programming <br />This step will confirm the space requirements for the Master Plan and the detailed <br />space requirements for the new library. Architect will conduct an on-site work <br />session involving representatives of Friends of the Library, each activity group and <br />appropriate library staff. Architect will review the progn:lm information with the <br />Building Committee and document it in a final Building Program Report to include <br />the following: <br />. Statement of purpose <br />. Space analysis initial and future needs <br />. Confirm priorities for library services provided <br />
