<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1. The Board is herby authorized to approve anymd all <br />additions or structural alterations to special uses after ' <br />they have qualified and have been approved by the City Inspector. <br /> <br />2. Uses for which special permits may be secured, subject <br />to all conditions and safeguards prescribed herein or as may <br />be further perscribed by the Board of Adjustment, are as follows: <br /> <br />A. Golf Driving ranges and miniature golf courses; provided <br />the illumination of such facilities does not exceed two <br />tenths (0'.2) foot-candle as across the source property <br />line when adjacent to a Residential District; however; <br />such facilities are permitted the use of an illuminated <br />advertising sign or marquee provided such signs are not <br />located within twenty-five (25) feet of any Residential <br />District Boundary and the illumination of such signs or <br />marquees does not exceed two tenths (0.2) foot candle <br />across the source property line. <br /> <br />B. Radj,o, television, or microwave broadcast or relay towers. <br /> <br />C. Sewage, refuse, or garbage disposal and/or treatment <br />plants; provided such facilities conform to performance <br />standard set forth in subsection 11.04, Performance <br />Standards, such facilities shall be enclosed by a screen <br />ing device as defined in Section 2, Definitions. <br /> <br />SECTION 15 <br /> <br />Nonconforming Buildings and Uses <br /> <br />The lawful use of any building, structure or land existing at the <br />time of the enactment of this Ordinance may be continued although such <br />use does not conform with the provisions of this ordinance; provided, <br />however, the right to continue such nonconforming uses shall be subject <br />to the following regulations: <br /> <br />15.01 Nonconforming Buildings <br /> <br />1. A nonconforming building or structure may be occupied except <br />as herein provided. <br /> <br />2. Normal repairs and alterations as necessary to its upkeep may <br />be made to a nonconforming structure or building such as reroofing, <br />painting, or refounding; provided that no structural alterations <br />shall be made except as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Those required by law or Ordinance. <br /> <br />(b) Tho~o necessary for installing and enclosinp, sanitary <br />facilities such as toilets and bathrooms. <br /> <br />(c) Those necessary for the installation of cooling, heat- <br />ing, exhaust, ventilating appurtenances or facilities, or <br />abatement devices designed to reduce nonconformity with per- <br />formance standards. <br /> <br />3. A nonconforming building or structure shall not be added to or <br />enlarged:in any manner unless such addition and enlargements are <br />made to conform to all the requirements of the district in which <br />such huildin~9 or structures are looated. <br /> <br />-34- <br />
