<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />n. FINAL DESIGN SERVICES <br /> <br />A. General <br /> <br />1. Engineer will conduct monthly progress meetings during the design phase <br />with City staff to review work completed to date, project schedule, and other <br />issues. These meetings will be approximately 2-hours in duration. <br />2. Engineer will perform project management dutie$ through the design phase, <br />including tracking budget and schedule and meeting with City staff as <br />required. <br />3. Engineer will perform quality assurance/quality control procedures during <br />the design phase. Those procedures will include a technical review of the 60, <br />percent and 90 percent review documents. <br /> <br />B. Plans and Specifications <br /> <br />1. The Engineer will prepare complete contract documents (plans and <br />specifications) for use in bidding and constructing the work associated with <br />the sludge handling facilities improvements project. The design of facilities <br />to upgrade the sludge handling system at the Little Cedar Bayou waStewater . <br />treatment plant will include, but not necessarily be limited to: . <br /> <br />. Upgrade of the return activated sludge/waste activated sludge pump <br />station. <br /> <br />. The addition of a rotary drum thickener for thickening waste activated <br />sludge. <br /> <br />'. The addition of two, new aerobic digesters complete with decant, <br />piping and aeration systems. <br /> <br />. Modifications to the existing blower building and system. <br /> <br />. The addition of new digested sludge and thickened sludge pumps and <br />piping modifications. <br /> <br />. Modifications to the existing gravity thickener. <br /> <br />. The addition of a new sludge dewatering building with two, new belt <br />filter presses. <br /> <br />. Miscellaneous piping, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and control <br />modifications to accommodate the proposed facilities. <br /> <br />A-3 <br />
