Engineer will provide City staff five (5) sets of half-size review documents <br />at the 60 percent design completion and five (5) sets of full-size review <br />documents and specifications at the 90 percent design completion. <br /> <br />3. Engineer will meet all requirements for notification and submission to the <br />TNRCC for review/approval of documents and design. <br /> <br />C. Cost Estimate <br /> <br />1. Engineer will prepare opinions of probable cost for the cons~ction of the <br />improvements at the 60 percent design completion stage and when final <br />contract documents are completed. <br /> <br />D. Bidding <br /> <br />1. Engineer will reproduce and distribute contract documents to prospective <br />bidders and vendors and maintain a log of distribution. Engineer will <br />recover costs for such distribution through charging prospective bidders for <br />each set. . ' <br /> <br />2. Engineer will attend the pre-bid conference for the construction project and <br />answer, by written..addenda, contractors and supplier's functional and, <br />technical questions during the bidding phase. <br /> <br />3. Engineer will provide clarifications and answer questions from prospective <br />bidders and vendors during the bidding phase. Ifnecessary, such <br />clarifications will be included in the addenda. <br /> <br />4. Engineer will review contractor's pre-qualification submittals and <br />recommended to City staff those that are qualified for construction of the <br />project. City staff will review financial qualifications. <br /> <br />5. Engineer will attend bid opening, review bids, and assist with <br />recommendations for contract award. <br /> <br />m. DESIGN SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />A. General <br /> <br />1. Engineer will attend monthly construction progress meetings. Up to 12 total <br />meetings will be attended. <br /> <br />2. Engineer will make periodic visits to the project site to observe .the progress <br />and quality ofthe various aspects of the contractors' work. Engineer will <br />participate in substantial completion a~d final completion walkthroughs. <br /> <br />A-4 <br />
