For the purposes of this ordinance, buildings <br />are classified, with respect to occupancy and use, as public bUildings, institu,,:, <br />tional buildings, residence bUildings, business buildings and storage buildings. <br />(a) PUBLIC BUILDING means a building in which persons congregate for <br /> <br />.~--- <br /> <br />,-.. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />civic, political, educational" religious, social or recreational purposes; in- <br /> <br />cluding among others, armories, assembly halls, auditoriums, bath houses, bowl- <br /> <br />ing alJ.eys, churches, city halls, club rooms, colleges, court houses" dance haJ.1s, <br />exhibition buildings, grandstands, gymnasiums, lecture halls, libraries, lodge <br />rooms" motion picture theatres, museums, passenger stations, recreation piers, <br /> <br />restaurants, schools, skating rinks, stadiums and theatres. <br /> <br />(b) INSTITUTIONAL BUILDDlG means a building in which persons are <br /> <br />harbored to receive medical, 'charitable or other care ortreatment, OJ: in which <br /> <br />persons are held or detained by rea30n of public or civic duty, or for correc- <br /> <br /> <br />. tional purposes; including ~ong others, asylums, homes for aged, hospitals" <br />
