• -4- • Thence in a Southerly direction along said projection aad the East right-of-way line of North First (lst) Street to the center line of hest Madison Street, same being on the present City limits of the City of La Porte; Thence in a Westerly direction along said City limit line and the center line of hest Madison Street, to the place of beginning. Section 3. The territory included within the above described boun- dart' limits be hereby annexed to, and made a part of, the City of La Porte, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all rights and privi- leges of other citizens of said City and shallbe bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of said City. Section 4. If any portion or portions of the territory included in t the above described limits is validly included. within any other incorporated City, Town of Village, then such portion or portions of such above described territory is hereby excluded anal the remaining territory is hereby annexed to the City of La Porte, Texas, and the boundary limits of said City are hereby amended to conform to the boundary limits of such other City, Town or Village, '~~or such other Cities, Towns or Villages along the area of conflict. Section 5. If any portion or portions of the above described terri- 'tort' legally may become included within. the limits of any other incorporated iCity, Town or Village, by reason of a valid annexation ordinance heretofore in- troduced before the Council, Commission or other governing body of such City, Town or Village, than such portion or portions of the above described territory is hereby excluded and the remaining territory is hereby annexed to the City of La Porte and the boundary limits of said City of La Porte are hereby amended to conform to the boundary limits of such other City, Town or Village or such other Cities, Towns or Villages along the area of conflict. Section 6. If any legal impediment exists, preventing the valid an- vexation of any portion of the above described territory to the City of La Porte; then such portion of the above described territory is hereby excluded and the remaining territory is hereby annexed to the City of La Porte and the boundary limits of said City of La Porte are hereby amended to conform to the territory so annaxad.
