IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED, RECITED AND REPRESENTED that the issuance of this bond, and the series of which it is a part, is duly authorized by law; that all acts, conditions and things necessary to be done precedent to and in the issuance of this bond, and this series of bonds, in order to render the same legal, valid and binding obli- gations of said City, have been done, have happened, and have been performed in regular and due time, form and manner, as required by law; that due provision has been made for levying and collecting annually by taxation an amount sufficient to pay the interest on these bonds as it falls due and to create and provide a sinking fund ~or the final redemption of said bonds at maturity; and that the issuance of this series of bonds does not exceed any Constitutional or statutory limitation. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City Commission of the City of La Porte, Texas, has caused the corporate seal of said City to be affixed here- to, and, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 293, Acts of the 54th Legislature of Texas, Regular Session, 1955 (codified in Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes as Article 717j), has caused this bond to be signed by the Mayor of said City and countersigned by the City Clerk by their facsimile signatures, and has caused the interest cou- pons hereto annexed also to be executed by the facsimile signatures of said Mayor and City Clerk, all as of the 15th day of September, 1959.
