e e TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: . WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 548 the Mayor and City Com~ission- ers of the City of La Porte created a Planning and Zoning Commission with the primary duty of adopting a comprehensive plan and report its plan and recommendations to the City Commission of the City of La Porte; and, WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission created by said Ordinance immediately set about a study for planning and zoning the City; and, v'iHEREliS, the Planning ana Zoning Commission after numerous and frequent public meetings and numerous and frequent hearings, 8S . reflected in the minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission, bas come to a conclusion and finds as follows, to-wit: 1. To provide for an orderly development and redevelopment of tbe City of La Porte as it presently exists, it is unanimously recommended that the enclosed proviSions for Planning and Zoning be adopted by the City Commissioners of the City of La Porte. 2. It is unanimously the opinion of the Planning and Zoning Commission that the enclosed comprehevsive zoning plan should be adopted as a City Ordinance within as short a time as possible in order that the citizens of the City of La Porte may have a compre- hevsive plan to rely upon and in order that further derrogation of . property values may be brought to a halt. 3.
