<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 658, Page 3. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />D. Occupancy. The owner, or owners, of multiple units on a single <br /> <br />meter may certify to the City Water Department on or before the second (2nd) <br /> <br />day of each calendar month the maximum number of units occupied on any <br /> <br />one day during the preceeding month, upon which the City shall place the <br /> <br />minimum charge of $2.00 on each unit so occupied. Such certificate must <br /> <br />be in writing and shall be sworn to before a Notary Public. If the owner <br /> <br />shall fail to make this certification by the time required, the City Water <br /> <br />Department shall consider the minimum as applicable to all units, which <br /> <br />shall not be subject to adjustment. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Section 5. General Provisions <br /> <br />A. Application for Water Services. It shall be unlawful for any <br /> <br />person to make any connection to the mains or pipes of the water works <br /> <br />system of the City without first making proper application to the City, stating <br /> <br />fully the several and various uses for which water is desired, giving the <br /> <br />name of the owner of the property, the number of the lots and block, the name <br /> <br />of the street and the house number. Upon the payment of the tapping fee, and <br /> <br />the deposit, if required, the city shall make the necessary connections and <br /> <br />furnish a curb stop box and curb cock, provided water services are otherwise <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />available, and provided further that the size of meter and size of the connection <br /> <br />with City mains and laterals necessary to furnish adequate water service <br /> <br />shall be determined by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />B. Water Tapping Charges. The tapping charges for connecting <br />with the City water mains and laterals shall be as follows: <br /> <br />5/8" Connection - - - - - - - - - - - - $65.00 <br />3/4'Connection - - - - - - - - - - - - 75.00 <br />1" Connection - - - - - - - - - - - - 96.00 <br />1-1/4" Connection - - - - - - - - - - - - 60.00 plus meter cost <br />2" or larger connection - - Actual cost of installation, <br />plus meter cost. <br /> <br />These charges shall apply where the connection is made in dirt, shell <br /> <br />~ or asphalt. There shall be an additional charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) <br />where the excavation is made in concrete paving. <br />
