<br />i: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />thereafter deliver to the candidate for whom the greatest number of votes <br /> <br />.e ha ve been polled for the office of Mayor, a certificate of election, and the <br />Mayor shall immediately thereafter deliver to the candidate for whom the <br /> <br />greatest number of votes have been polled for the office of Commission <br /> <br />Position Number 2, a certificate of election, and the Mayor shall immediately <br /> <br />thereafter deliver to the candidate for whom the greatest,number of votes <br /> <br />have been polled for the office of Commissioner, Position Number 4, a <br /> <br />certificate of election, and such elected officials shall assume their duties <br /> <br />within ten (10) days thereafter, Sundays excluded. <br /> <br />Section 5. Notice of said election shall be given by publication <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />in the official newspaper of the City of La Porte, not less than thirty (30) <br /> <br />days prior to the date of the said election, of the following notice: <br /> <br />"NOTICE OF ELECTION" <br /> <br />I, H. P. Pfeiffer, Mayor of the City of La Porte, Texas, <br />by virtueGf the power vested in me by law, do hereby <br />order that an election be held in the said City of La Porte, <br />Texas, on the 28th day of April, 1964, for the purpose of <br />electing a Mayor and two (2) Commissioners of said City, <br />and that said election shall be held at the City Hall in <br />said City between seven o'clock A.
