The City Commission of the City of La Porte . hereby accepts the recommendation of the eity of La Porte Planning and Zoning eommission, and the zoning classification of the hereinafter des.cribed parcel of land, situated wi thin the corporate limits of the eity of La Porte, is hereby changed in accordance therewith, and the zoning classifica- tion of said parcel of land shall hereafter be "District e-- Apartment and Commercial District," with no special use permits allowed. The description of said parcel of land re-zoned is as follows, to-wit: . Being a 78.0575 Acre tract, out of the W. J. Payne Subdivision,' in the W. M. Jones Survey, A-4 82, Harris County, Texas, and being, more par.ticularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the centerline of a 140' wide drain- age easement on Big Island Slough where it intersects the North right-of-way line of Spencer Highway. Thence following the centerline of Big Island Slough; N 110 29' 30" W, 172.58 feet to a point for corner; N 20 52' 30" W, 1,659.96 feet to a point for the N.E. corner of this tract. Thence,West 1,813.56 feet to a point for Northwest corner of this tract. Thence S 00 01' 40" W, 1827.00 feet to a point for corner in the North right-of-way of Spencer Highway. .- Thence East" following the North right-of-way of Spencer Highway, a distance of 1,932.09 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day of March, 1976.
