All poisonous or toxic materials shall <br />be stored in cabinets or in similar physically separated compartments or <br />facilities used ,for no other purpose. To preclude potential contamination, <br />poisonous or toxic materials, shall not be stored above food, food equipment, <br />utensils or single-service articles, except that this requirement does not <br />prohibit the convenient availability of detergent or, sanitizers at utensil or <br />dishwashing stations. <br /> <br />(4) Use of Materials~ <br /> <br />(A) Bactericides, cleaning compounds or other compounds <br />intended' for use on food-contact surfaces shall not be used in a way that <br />leaves a toxic residue on such su~faces, nor 1n a way that constitutes a <br />hazard to employees or other persons. <br /> <br />(B) Poisonous or toxic materials shall not be used in a way <br />that contaminates,food, equipment, or utensils, nor in a way that constitutes <br />a hazard to employees or other persons, nor in a way other than in full <br />compliance with the manufacturer'~ l~beling. <br /> <br />(5) P~rsonal Medications. Personal medications shall not be stored <br />in food storage, preparatlon or service areas. <br /> <br />(6) First Aid Supplies. First aid supplies shall be stored in a <br />way that prevents them from contaminating food and food-contact surfaces. <br /> <br />(h) Premises. <br /> <br />(1) General. <br /> <br />(A) Food service establishments and all parts of ,the property <br />used .in connection with oper~tions of the establishments shall be kept free of <br />litter. <br /> <br />(B) The walking and driving surfaces of all exterior areas of <br />food service ~stablishments snall be surfaced with concrete or asphalt, or <br />with gravel or similar material effectively treated to facilitate maintenance <br />'and minimize dust. .These surfaces shall be graded 'to prevent pooling' and kept <br />free of litter. ' <br /> <br />(c) Only articles necessary for the operation and maintenance <br />of the food service establishment shall be stored on the premises. <br /> <br />(D) The traffic of unnecessary persons through the food <br />preparation and utensil-washing areas is prohibited. <br /> <br />(2) Living Areas. No operation of a food service est~blishment <br />shall be conducted in any room used as living or sleeping quarters. Food <br />
