<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of La Porte <br />Personnel Policies <br /> <br />5. During injury leave, an employee shall report to the Human Resources <br />Division at least once per week, and shall be responsible for compliance <br />with their medical care and treatment. Failure to do so may subject the <br />employee to disciplinary action. Additionally, if at any point, information <br />is obtained that the injured employee is able to return to work but is not <br />willing to do so, disciplinary action may be taken and suspension of <br />further injury leave may occur. <br />6. If an injured employee receives a partial or light duty medical release <br />statement from their doctor AND if light duty can be arranged and/or <br />approved by the Department Director, the employee may be placed on <br />light duty until a full release from their doctor is obtained. The light duty <br />medical, release statement must indicate what limitations have been <br />placed on the employee. Upon full release by their physician, the <br />employee shall be removed from light duty. <br />7. An employee on injury leave shall not continue to accrue sick and <br />vacation leave. <br /> <br />26 <br />
