Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Mosteit at 5:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Committee Members Present: <br />Councilmembers: Tommy Moser, Chuck Engelken and Chairman Mike Mosteit <br /> <br />Committee Members Absent: Vice Chairman Mike Clausen and Howard Ebow <br /> <br />Members of City Emplovees Present: <br />Assistant City Secretary Sharon Harris, City Manager Ron Bottoms, Assistant City Manager <br />John Joerns, Safety Coordinator Bill Rankin, Director of Public Works Steve Gillett, Assistant <br />Director of Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs, Assistant Director of Public Works <br />Don Pennell, City Engineer Rodney Slaton, and Planning Director Wayne Sabo. <br /> <br />Others present: Adam Yanelli of Bayshore Sun, Alvin Massey, Jorge Alba, Keith Smatners, Chi- <br />Chung Charg, Nolan and Muriel Trahan, Joseph and Linda Chuculate, Margaret Compton, Nancy <br />Perez, Doug Bryant, John Saavedra, Jimmy Bryant, Jason Eckert, Barbara Norwine, David <br />Janda, Don Killen, George Houth, Dave Stang, Charles Nute, Anna Rivera, Trent Wise and other <br />citizens. <br /> <br />2. Consider approval of Minutes of Drainage and Flooding Committee held October 15, 2007. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Engelken to approve the minutes as presented. A <br />second by Committee Member Moser. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Tommy Moser, Mike Mosteit, and Chuck Engelken. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Mike Clausen and Howard Ebow <br /> <br />3. Petitions, Remonstrances, communications, and citizens and taxpayers wishing to address the <br />Flooding and Drainage Committee. <br /> <br />Charles Nute, 10836 Spruce Drive South La Porte, TX. 77571 addressed the committee with <br />concerns regarding flood control issues in the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />Joseph Chuculate Jr. 10830 Dogwood Dr. La Porte, TX 77571 addressed the committee <br />regarding his concern with flooding in his neighborhood Fairmont Park East and his monetary loss <br />during the recent rain events. <br />
