<br />Nancy Perez 5225 Creekview La Porte, TX 77571 addressed the committee with her deep <br />concerns and loss due to the flooding issues in the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />Alvin Massey 709 Willowcreek Dr. La Porte, TX 77571 addressed the committee with concerns of <br />drainage issues in his neighborhood Creekmont. <br /> <br />Jimmy Bryant 1241 Underwood addressed the committee with concerns of drainage in La Porte <br />and the maintenance of ditches near his work location on P Street. <br /> <br />Don Killen 10119 Catlett Ln. La Porte, TX 77571 addressed the committee with concerns of flood <br />control in La Porte. <br /> <br />4. Review and Discuss Draft Request for Qualification Statement for Professional Engineering <br />Services for City-Wide Drainage study. <br /> <br />Steve Gillett provided the Drainage and Flooding Committee an overview of the Draft Request for <br />Qualification Statement for Professional Engineering Services for City-Wide Drainage study. <br /> <br />The committee members advised staff to move forward with the Request for Qualification <br />Statement for Professional Engineering Services for City-Wide Drainage study for consideration <br />to the full City Council at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Committee member Engelken requested the issue of vehicles driving through neighborhoods <br />during rain events when streets are flooding causing additional flood damages to citizen's <br />homes/property. <br /> <br />5. Staff provided the following administrative reports to the Drainage and Flooding Committee <br />Members. <br /> <br />Engineering Update -Director of Planning Wayne Sabo provided the committee a list for Short <br />Term Drainage Projects. <br /> <br />The committee requested staff bring the list for Short Term Drainage Projects to the full City <br />Council for consideration at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Street Sweeper Schedule <br /> <br />Director of Public Works had no additional update/report since the last meeting. <br /> <br />Property Buy Outs for Properties that have flooded. <br /> <br />Emergency Coordinator Jeff Suggs no additional update/report since the last meeting on Property <br />Buy Outs for Properties that have flooded. <br /> <br />Receive Reports from City Staff, Harris County Flood Control District and Harris County Precinct <br />Two <br />
