The motion carried, 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Knox Askins read: RESOLUTION 98-06 - A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHROZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE <br />REVENUE BONDS. <br /> <br />Ayes: CounciJpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Porter, Gay, Young, <br />Clarke and Mayor Malone. <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />9. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A <br />UTILITY EXTENSION AGREEMENT WITH THE DEVELOPER OF <br />THE SA YOU FOREST APARTMENTS-G. Rankin <br /> <br />Planning Director Guy Rankin presented summary and recommendation. Mr. <br />Rankin recommended Council consider authorizing the City Manager to execute <br />a Utility Extension Agreement with the Developer of the Bayou Forest <br />Apartments. Mr. Rankin informed Council that under this agreement, the City <br />will receive a maximum payment of $119,500 from the Developer for sewer <br />service.. One-half this amount will be paid to the City when the Developer is <br />issued a building permit for his apartment project. The other one-half payment <br />will be made when the City begins construction of the sewer facilities. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Sutherland to approve this Agreement as <br />presented. Second by Councilperson Engelken. CONSIDER APPROVAL OR OTHER ACTION REGARDING AN <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND TURNER, <br />COLLIE AND BRADEN, .INC., TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL <br />ENGI~EERING SERVICES FOR FINAL DESIGN AND <br />CONStRUCTION CONTRACT DOCUMENTS OF SANITARY SEWER <br />FACILITIES; APPROPRIATING NOT TO EXCEED $146,000.00 TO <br />FUND SAID CONTRACT (Res. 98-2237) - J.
