<br />Special Called Meeting, Public Hearing and Workshop Meeting 5-19-08 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins noted change to ordinance presented summary and <br />recommendations and answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 3076- AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE <br />RESULTS OF THE ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE ON MAY 10, 2008, <br />FOR THE ELECTION OF COUNCILPERSON AT LARGE, POSITION B, <br />COUNCILPERSON DISTRICT 1, AND COUNCILPERSON DISTRICT 6, FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Enqelken to approve Ordinance 3076 as presented <br />by Mr. Askins. Councilmember Beasley second. The motion carried. <br /> <br />6. Presiding Judge Denise Mitrano administered Oaths of Office to the newly appointed <br />Councilmember At Large B, Councilmember District 1 and Councilmember District 6 as <br />presented. <br /> <br />7. Mayor Porter presented an Appreciation Plaque to Councilman Beasley for his dedicated <br />service during the terms of office he held. <br /> <br />8. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />A.
