<br />Drainage and Flooding Committee Meeting - October 13,2008 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs provided the committee with a draft report <br />on Repetitive Loss Area Analysis #7 (Brookglen Subdivision) from the University of New <br />Orleans Center for Hazards Assessment, Response and Technology and answered questions <br />from the committee. <br /> <br />Committee member Engelken questioned if the report had been sent to homeowners that <br />participated in the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Engelken requested the report be placed on the city website ill addition to being <br />forwarded to the rest of City Council. <br /> <br />6. Administrative Reports <br /> <br />Receive reports from City Staff, Harris County Flood Control District and Harris County <br />Precinct Two regarding city drainage issues. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Steve Gillett reported he was working with Klotz and Associates <br />on short term drainage projects. <br /> <br />John Randolph reported on funding for mitigation projects, the F2 I 6 and F 10 16 Projects. He <br />also reported Harris County Flood Control District was concentrating on debris removal in <br />the channels. <br /> <br />Harris County Precinct Two was not in attendance to provide a report to the committee. <br /> <br />7. Set date for next meeting <br /> <br />The Drainage and Flooding Committee set the next meeting date for January 19, 2009, at <br />5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />8. Committee Comments <br /> <br />The entire committee complimented the report and let City Staff and Mr. Struzick know they <br />are looking forward to specific cost recommendations and projects <br /> <br />9.
