b. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to provide direction regarding <br />conceptual design and site improvements at the Public Works Service Center [Ray <br />Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Councilperson Martin moved to direct staff to continue along the path and head toward <br />the Preliminary engineering report: the motion was seconded by Mavor Pro Tem Engelken; <br />the motion was adopted, 9-0. <br />c. Receive report of the La Porte Development Corporation Board of Directors <br />meeting. [Councilperson Chuck Engelken] <br />Councilperson Engelken reported the Board met and approved opening a 60-day <br />comment period for an expansion project at 508 W. Main and provided direction to the <br />City Manager's office for a full-time person to administer economic development activities. <br />The next meeting will be held June 27. <br />9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />• Drainage and Flooding Committee meeting, June 13 <br />• City Council meeting, June 13 <br />• Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, June 16 <br />• City Council meeting, June 27 <br />City Manager Alexander said there were no reports. <br />10. COUNCIL COMMENTS Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the <br />agenda; items of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific <br />factual information or existing policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, <br />for which no formal action will be discussed or taken. <br />Councilpersons congratulated the newly elected Councilpersons, employees recognized for <br />their years of service, and local State Farm agents; shared the success of the Chamber's <br />Lemonade Day, reminded all to vote in tomorrow's [primary runoff] elections; wished outgoing <br />Councilperson Garza well; addressed Mr. Smith's comments by noting that Fairmont <br />Parkway is a Harris County roadway that the City has contributed to improvements for and <br />that complaints about bathrooms in City parks will be addressed but are apparently never <br />received by mepbers of Council. <br />ADJOt7RN — Withbut obiection, the Council <br />
