INVOCATION —The invocation was given by Pastor Philip Dunn, Lighthouse Baptist Church, <br />and pledges were led by Councilperson Jay Martin. <br />3. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state <br />law, the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />Donnas Cooper spoke in support of Senior activities at the Recreation Center and asked for <br />support for Phase 2 remodel considerations. <br />4. CONSENT AGENDA (Approval of Consent Agenda items authorizes each to be implemented <br />in accordance with staff recommendations provided. An item may be removed from the <br />consent agenda and added to the Statutory Agenda for full discussion upon request by a <br />member of the Council present at this meeting.) <br />a. Approve the minutes of the May 18, 2022, special meeting and the May 23, 2022, <br />regular meeting of the City Council. [Louis R. Rigby, Mayor] <br />b. Approve utilization of Galls, LLC for the purchase of Police Department uniform <br />items under Buy Board Contract # 670-22 expiring on May 31, 2026, not to exceed <br />the annual budgeted amount. [Chief Steve Deardorff] <br />c. Authorize the Mayorto sign General and No Litigation Certificate in connection with <br />issuance of tax-exempt bonds by Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation <br />(SETH) for development of Gateway at Lake Jackson Apartments, in Lake Jackson, <br />Texas.
