It lays out a broad, long-term vision with associated goals and <br />recommendations regarding future investment, resiliency, and <br />enhancement of the community; <br />Comprehensive. It considers the entire geographic area of La Porte, <br />including how the City ties into the surrounding areas, e.g., ne <br />municipalities, industrial districts, and port terminals; and <br />Short- and Long-term. It assesses near- and long-term needs and desires <br />across a variety of inter-related topics that represent the key <br />blocks of La Porte (e.g.; land use, growth management, mobility, <br />and neighborhoods, economic development, parks and recreation, u <br />infrastructure, and public facilities and services). <br />7§¤±¤ £®¤² ³§¤ !´³§®±¨³¸ #®¬¤ &±®¬ <br />Unlike some other states, municipalities in Texas are not mandat <br />government to prepare and maintain local comprehensive plans.
