5.3.4 FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP (Continued) <br />Review of the latest FEMA FIRM No. 48201CD945L, June 18, 2007, shows the majority of the subject <br />property being in X-500. Flood Zone "X-500", an area inundated by 500-year flooding; an area <br />inundated by 100-year flooding with average depths of less than 1 foot or with drainage areas less than <br />1 square mile; or an area protected by levees from 300-year flooding. The information gathered was <br />used to help describe the general hydrology in the area and is not to be used to as an official Flood Zone <br />Determination. <br />5.4 HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION <br />The objective of consulting historical sources is to develop a history of the previous uses of the subject <br />and adjacent properties in order to help identify the likelihood of past uses having led to RECs in <br />connection with the subject property. <br />Geo-Tech has researched various aerial photography records, City Directories, and/or Sanborn Map(s) <br />for the subject property. The purpose of this search is to assist in the identification of previous owners <br />whose use of the property may have been environmentally significant. <br />5.4.1 AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS <br />The following observations were based on a review of historical aerial photographs. The area was <br />originally developed for residential use. The project area is relatively level with only minor surface relief <br />due to natural drainage through the area. <br />Selected photocopies of the original aerial photographs of this particular area are attached to this report <br />in the Appendix. The copies are of near photographic quality and illustrate the more obvious changes in <br />character of the subject property. <br />e 2002: This photograph shows the subject property similar to current state. Vacant land <br />and a commercial property with commercial adjoining properties in the surrounding <br />area. <br />e 1999: This photograph shows the subject property as a vacant parcel and a commercial <br />property with commercial adjacent properties. <br />e 1995: This photograph shows the subject property similar to 1989.
