<br />§ KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
<br />COUNTY OF HARRIS §
<br />That, Harris County Flood Control District, a political subdivision of the State of Texas, of )OE
<br />the County of Harris, hereinafter known as Grantor, for and in consideration of mutual covenants, and
<br />benefits to both parties has donated, granted and conveyed unto the City of La Porte, a body corporate AA
<br />and politic under the laws of the State of Texas, hereinafter known as Grantee, certain land to be used i
<br />by the Grantee for the public purpose of providing flood control and drainage services and the
<br />maintenance thereof, being public purposes that benefit and serve the public interest of Grantor, such
<br />donation being made pursuant to Local Government Code § 272.001(l.), said tract or parcel of land
<br />situated in the County of Harris, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
<br />In that certain Deed from Lillian S. Stevenet, to the Harris County Flood Control
<br />District, dated .lune 8, 1949, and recorded under Clerk File Number 654453, Volume
<br />1962, Page 350, of the Harris County Official Public Records of Real Property, being
<br />Lots 19 and 20, Block 719, LaPorte Townsite, Johnson Hunter Survey, Abstract No.
<br />35, Harris County, Texas; and
<br />In that certain Deed from Earl Alonzo Thomas and Louella K. Thomas, to the Harris
<br />County Flood Control District, dated October t, 1948, and recorded under Clerk Fife
<br />Number 593835, Volume 1873, Page 387, of the Harris County Official Public Records
<br />of Real Property, being Lot 6, Block 722, LaPorte Townsite, Johnson Hunter Survey,
<br />Abstract No. 35, Harris County, Texas;
<br />The above described property conveyed shall include all right, title and interest, if any, of Grantor in and
<br />to, (1) any narrow strip of land lying between the described property, as described herein and any
<br />adjacent or abutting land not owned by Grantor, which narrow strip of land was intended by the Grantor
<br />and Grantee to be conveyed hereby as part of the described property, but which because of surveying
<br />error or omission may have been inadvertently excluded as part of the described property and (2) all
<br />reversionary rights attributable to the above described property.
<br />This conveyance is made by Grantor and accepted by Grantee subject to all valid and subsisting
<br />encumbrances, conditions, covenants, restrictions, reservations, exceptions, rights-of-way, and
<br />easements appearing of record in the Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas,
<br />relative to the above described property, but onty to the extent the same are applicable to and
<br />enforceable against Grantee.
