Presenfed t4 C0MMiSS10ners' COurt <br />MAR 14 2017 <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS § APPROVE <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS §°rded Vol.� Page <br />The Commissioners Court of Harris County, Texas, sitting as the governing body of the <br />Harris County Flood Control district, convened at a meeting of said Court at the Harris County <br />Administration Building in the City of Houston, Texas, on _ ARR 14 7017 with the <br />following members present, to wit: <br />Ed Emmett <br />County Judge <br />Rodney Ellis <br />Commissioner, Precinct No. 1 <br />Jack Morman <br />Commissioner, Precinct No. 2 <br />Steve Radack <br />Commissioner, Precinct No. 3 <br />R. Jack Cagle <br />Commissioner, Precinct No. 4 <br />and the following members absent, to wit: A ❑VVA, , <br />constituting a quorum, when among other business, the following was transacted: <br />ORDER AUTHORIZING DONATION OF A CERTAIN <br />HARRIS COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT FEE TRACT <br />ON HCFCD UNIT F216-00-00, TRACTS 03-201.0 and 03-202.0 <br />IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS KEY MAP PAGE 540-X; PRECINCT 2 <br />TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />Commissioner _ introduced an order and made a <br />motion that the same be adopted. Commissioner _ CIE" 0% seconded the <br />motion for adoption of the order. The motion, carrying with it the adoption of the order, prevailed <br />by the following vote: <br />The County Judge thereupon announced that the motion had duly and lawfully carried <br />and that the order had been duly and lawfully adopted. The order thus adopted follows: <br />WHEREAS, Harris County Flood Control District has fee tracts identified in deeds from <br />Lillian S. Stevenet to the District recorded at Clerk's File No. 654453, Volume 1962, Page 350 <br />and from Earl Alonzo Thomas and Louella K. Thomas to the District recorded at Clerk's File No. <br />593835, Volume 1873, Page 387, Harris County Deed Records, said tracts being located in the <br />Johnson Hunter Survey, Abstract No. 35, Harris County, Texas; and <br />WHEREAS, said fee tracts are further identified as Tract Nos. 03-201.0 and 03-202.0 on <br />HCFCD Unit F216-00-00; and <br />WHEREAS, after due consideration, the Court has found that the above-described fee <br />tracts are not needed by the Harris County Flood Control District, and that the public interest <br />would be better served if the above-described tracts were donated to the City of La Porte in <br />conjunction with the City's Little Cedar Bayou -- Phase 11 project; and <br />Yes No <br />Abstain <br />Judge Ed Emmett <br />❑ <br />❑ <br />AYES: Comm.
