Moore General Manager, Pipeline Division Big Three Industries, 'Inc. 3535 West 12th Houston, Texas "77008 Dear Mr. Moore: The City of La Porte, as you are probably aware, has annexed the former City of Lomax under the State Sta~utes providing for the consolidation of two municipal governments, effective April 28, 1980. The former City of Lomax receiyed all of. its water supply and sanitary sewer treatment services by contract from the City of Deer Park. Since consolidation has occurred the City of La Porte has begun plans to connect the water distribu- tion system and sanitary sewer collection system of Lomax to the City of La Porte so the contract with Deer Park can be terminated. The enclosed plan for the extension of an eight (8) inch water main from "H" Street south to West Main (Spencer Highway) parallel to 26th Street is a part of those plans. Also enclosed is a utility easement that I am requesting that you execute, giving the City of La Porte permission to construct the afore- mentioned water line across yow:- property.. The easement is necessary because 26th Street will be widened to four lanes in the future as the extension of Bay Area Boulevard. If the line the City is constructing is not constructed out of the 1imits of the future street widening project now, it will have to be relocated at a future time, inv10ving the expenditure of tax dollars unnecessarily. Your assistance in granting the City this easement by executing the easement document and r~turning it to me in the enclosed stamped envelope is greatly appreciated.
