Time table of meeting with the City of La Porte regarding land at the comer of Spencer
and Driftwood.
The first meeting of the PAC was held on April 7, 2015 at 2pm in a conference room in
City Hall.
Present from the city
Eric Ensey, Bob Eng, Mark Huber
Additionally present
Bob Pizzitola, Dow Pizzitola, Louann Martin, Sean Rives
Since this was the first PAC meeting, we began with discussions about construction
types, trees, fagade grants (deferred conversation until a latter meeting with Livingston),
square footage, set backs, signage, parking, lighting, bricks, drainage, etc.
As we later got into the drainage, the sheet (noted as page 3—comprehensive listing of all
development related regulations) was being prepared by one of the city members. At the
bottom of the sheet, the transcriber made a handwritten note of "Harris County approval
on drainage & access (on Spencer)'.
Bob Pizzitola specifically asked the question of a need for a retention pond. The entire
group of city attendees unanimously and without the slightest question voiced a "no
need" answer to that discussion. This answer was further discussed that a natural
drainage/run off to Driftwood would satisfy all of that issue and the existing culverts
could easily handle such a small footprint and supply of water as was being built on the
property.
After we ended the meeting designer Rives made a comment to the Pizzitolas that the
meeting was good and that particularly good news resulted. Pizzitolas questioned exactly
what that particular good news was and Rives said that no additional retention, drainage,
etc. was required for the construction.
Meeting #2 ---- October 13, 2015 at 2pm
City attendees:
Eric Ensey, Ryan Cramer, Brian Sterling, Curtis Herrod, Mark Huber, Scott Livingston
Others:
Bob Pizzitola, Dow Pizzitola, Lou Ann Martin, Sean Rives, Bryan Moore
This PAC meeting was to review initial plans from the designer and question the pre -
development process.
In this meeting the drainage and access was again addressed specifically as a result of our
plan to sell the adjacent west Y. of the property and the need for `joint access easement'
with the new owner (later to be Victor Paris). Again with that joint shared access from
