Receive Preliminary Engineering Design Report for Battleground Estates J. Garza <br />Senior Engineer Julian Garza provided a Preliminary Engineering Design Report for Battleground Estates and recommended <br />staff move forward with Phase Two of the report in house. <br />Senior Engineer Julian Garza was directed to move forward in house with Phase Two of the report. Chairman Mosteit directed <br />staff to ensure maintenance of the drainage area. <br /> <br />5. Discuss recommendations of staff for meeting with the Texas Energy Coalition and its membership <br /> <br />Senior Engineer Julian Garza informed the committee the first meeting with the Texas Energy Coalition and its membership <br />was scheduled for February 9, 2012, and staff plans to meet with the Texas Energy Coalition and its membership biweekly <br />during the Planning Departments weekly Drainage and Staff Meetings held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Garza also <br />informed a report of the meeting with the Texas Energy Coalition and its membership would be provided quarterly at Council <br />meetings. Chairman Mosteit directed staff to notify Drainage and Flooding Committee members of meetings in order to have a <br />member present. Senior Engineer Julian Garza advised the Drainage and Flooding Committee would be notified of the <br />meetings. <br />6. Set date for next Drainage and Flooding Committee Meeting <br />Chairman Mosteit set the next Drainage and Flooding Committee Meeting tentatively for March 19, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. <br />7. Committee Comments <br />Committee member Engelken commented the Drainage and Flooding Committee, city staff and engineers have been working <br />the past four years and have accomplished milestones as a group. Committee member Engelken also inquired of an estimate <br />of expenditures allocated out of the General Obligation funds and an update on the Brookglen buyouts. Senior Engineer Julian <br />Garza responded approximately four and a half million was funded from the General Obligation funds. Mr. Garza also reported <br />one tract had been rejected and another tract was pending closing in May 2012. Interim City Manager Steve Gillett added <br />Brookglen and other projects would be discussed at the January 23, 2012 Council Meeting. Chairman Mosteit thanked <br />everyone for attending the meeting. <br /> <br />8. Executive Session <br />There was no executive session. <br />9. Adjourn <br />There being no further business, Committee member Engelken moved to adjourn the meeting. Vice Chairman Clausen <br />seconded.
