City Engineer/Inspection Service Manager Bob Eng provided an update on the CLP Bulkhead at Happy <br />Harbor. Committee Member Martin asked the total length of the waterfront property. Chairman Clausen asked the expected completed date for the project. Public Works <br />Director Dave Mick responded the end of summer 2015. <br /> <br />W. There were no questions from Committee Members. <br /> <br />Brookglen Detention Basins <br /> <br />City Engineer/Inspection Service Manager Bob Eng provided an update on the Brookglen Detention <br />Basins Project. <br /> <br />Committee member Engelken asked for an update on the Brookglen Buy-Outs. Planning and <br />Development Director Tim Tietjens responded all of the section in Gladewyne Court has been sold with <br />the exception of one lot, and roughly thirteen other lots remaining north and south of Oakhaven; south <br />of Ashwyne and east of Somerton. Committee member Engelken commented the maintenance issue of <br />lots not being mowed by Harris County Flood Control District still exist and advised he has heard from <br />several citizens regarding the issue. Committee member Engelken also commented he has concerns <br />with Harris County Flood Control not and <br />directed staff to send a letter to the Department of Justice. In addition, Committee member Engelken <br />advised a homeowner at 3315 would like to install a fence at their expense on Harris County Flood <br />Control property in order to keep their property from being vandalized. Public Works Director Dave Mick <br />advised he will contact Harris County Precinct 2 regarding the Interlocal Agreement for eight (8) <br />mowing cycles to the Brookglen Subdivision parcels owned and maintained by Harris County Flood <br />Control District. <br /> <br />Chairman Clausen agreed with Committee member Engelken and directed staff to add an item to a <br />future City Council meeting to discuss sending a letter to the Justice Department regarding <br />maintenance concerns of the Brookglen Buy-Out lots. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />March 30, 2015 <br /> Drainage and Flooding Committee Minutes <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
