Askins, Asst. City Attorney <br />CALL TO ORDERChairman Martincalled the meeting to order at5:00p.m. <br />2. CITIZENCOMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, in accordance with state <br />law, the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no comments. <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a.Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />Drainage and Flooding Committee regular meeting held on September 12, 2022. <br />\[Jay Martin, Chair\] <br />Member Engelkenmoved to approve the minutes;the motion was seconded by Member <br />Williams;the motionwas adopted, 3-0. <br />b.Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the status 100-acre-foot <br />detention pond project near the Pasadnea Convention Center and Brookglen <br />Subdivision, in connection with amended interlocal agreement between the City of <br />La Porte and the City of Pasadnea. \[Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of Public <br />Works\] <br />Rick Masters, Stormwater Consultant for the City of Pasadena, provided an update. <br />c.Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the Harris County Flood <br />related to flooding in the City of La Porte. \[Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works\] <br />Jonathan St. Romain, P.E., HCFCD Capital Projects South, and Jeremy Ratliff of Harris <br />County Flood Control District, offered a presentation on the proposed detention basins at <br />Brookglen Subdivision, noting it would be before the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />this week.
