<br />DISTRICT 6 ...........................POPULATION.........5,464 (+2.84%) <br />Councilperson Jerry Clarke ...................931 South 3`a, La Porte, Texas <br />District 6 is made up of a portion of the old original City of La Porte (incorporated 1892) and a <br />Section of Glen Meadows, all of Fairmont Park Central and Fairmont Park East. Fairmont Park <br />East is still under construction and is made up of beautiful two storied homes in the two hundred <br />thousand dollar range. These areas were annexed by the City of La Porte on November 10, 1969. <br />Each of these areas have strong homeowners associations, deed restrictions, very strictly enforced. <br />The area has paved. streets, curbed and guttered, and most of the lots have large trees. <br />A relatively new shopping centers located in District 6 with the City's only super market along with <br />other shops and restaurants. La Porte City Hall is located in this District , asis.z>~xa ~'e~~I~h <br />School ccazn~l~„several churches, doctors offices, dentist offices ,the Local news paper office and <br />a bank. <br />In leaving the elected representative in his district, we feel we have recognized the choice of the <br />People he has represented for a number of years and have been able to full fill the task set before us <br />by meeting the required population (+ or - 5%)total and not forcing out an elected official. <br />ETHNIC BREAKDOWN: <br />White Hispanic Black Asian American Indian Pacific Islander Other Housing Units <br />4,227 8'70 213 6I i7 8 68 1,903 <br />A bank. <br />
