PlanningandZoningCommissionRegularMeeting <br />August21,2014 <br />Chapter106ProposedRevisions <br />canbealsousedtomorequicklyfindtheapplicablepageofthemodification.Staff <br />encouragesdiscussiononanyoftheproposedmodificationsandwilladjust/modifyas <br />recommendedbytheCommission. <br />Thoseareashighlightedinyellowindicatenewlanguageaspartoftheproposed <br />modificationtoChapter106(Zoning).ThestrikeƷŷƩƚǒŭŷƭindicatewherelanguageis <br />proposedtoberemoved.InthetablesinSection106310(CommercialandIndustrial <br />Uses)andSection106839(NumberofParkingSpacesRequired)textthatisͻĬƌğĭƉͼ <br />signifiesnochangeintheusefromtheconversion,textinͻredͼindicatesthatnew <br />informationwasincludedaspartoftheconversion,andͻblueͼtextindicatesthatthe <br />informationwasinconflictduringtheconversion.Thisconflictcouldhaveoccurred <br />becauseoneSICnumberwassplitintotwoormoreNAICSnumbersorcombinedfrom <br />twoSICnumbers,sotheSubcommitteemademodificationsasappropriate. <br />GeneralModifications: <br />1.Forclarificationpurposes,anyreferencetoasectionofthecodewasmodifiedto <br />includethenameofthevariouscodesectionreferredto.Forexample,thereference <br />mightbeͻ{Ļĭ͵106БЉЉ͵ͼThesubcommitteeincludedthenameofthatsectionbeing <br />referredto:ͻ{Ļĭ͵106800Λ\[ğƓķƭĭğƦźƓŭΜ͵ͼThiswasdoneforallcodereferences <br />throughoutChapter106foreaseofreference. <br />2.Referencestoͻ{ƚǒƷŷĻƩƓBuildingCodeCongressInternationalΛ{͵.͵/͵/͵L͵Μͼwere <br />removedandchangedtoͻ/źƷǤCodeofhƩķźƓğƓĭĻƭ͵ͼ <br />3.TheCityCouncilhadpreviouslyapprovedanordinanceamendingvariousprovisions <br />concerninggrouphomes.Codificationofthoseregulationswassubmittedafterthelast <br />update.TheseregulationshavebeenincludedastheywereapprovedbytheCity <br />CouncilandcanbefoundinArticleII,Division2,SubdivisionI,ResidentialGenerally. <br />4.AnyreferencetothePlanningDepartmentwasreplacedwithͻtƌğƓƓźƓŭand <br />5ĻǝĻƌƚƦƒĻƓƷͼasitrelatestothedepartmentnameortitleofthedirector. <br />Definitions(Section1061): <br />5.Anumberofdefinitionswereaddedtoaddressdeficienciesinthecodethatpreviously <br />existed.However,therewereanumberofnewsectionsofthecodethatrequirednew <br />definitionsincludingthefollowingsections,allofwhichwillbediscussedindepthlater <br />inthisstaffreport:designstandards,highfrequencytruckroads,visibilitytriangle,and <br />mixedusedistrict. <br />BoardofAdjustment(ArticleII,Division2,SubdivisionIII): <br />6.ModificationsweremadetothetermsofZBOAmemberstobeconsistentwithLGC <br />mandates.TheLGCmandates2yearterms,whichisactuallyconsistentwiththeĭźƷǤƭ <br />practice.ThismodificationmakestheĭźƷǤƭpracticeconsistentwithLGCmandates. <br />Permits(ArticleII,Division4): <br />7.Section106150,whichaddressesbondingformultifamilydevelopment,wasadopted <br />bytheCityCouncilbutnevercodified.Thissectionhasbeenincluded.The <br />Subcommitteeisalsorecommendingacoupleadditionalmodificationstothissection, <br />2 <br /> <br />
