Consider Variance Request #11- 93000002 for the property located at 10804 Mesquite Drive, <br />further described by the Harris County Appraisal District as Lot 24, Block 12 of Fairmont <br />Park East, Section 2, William M. Jones Survey, Abstract 482, La Porte, Harris County, Texas. <br />Kenneth McCurry, property owner, seeks a variance to allow an additional 95 sq. ft. of <br />concrete surfacing to remain in place, contrary to the provisions of Section 106 -333, Table B, <br />footnotes 19. This variance is being sought under the terms of Section 106- 192(b) (2) of the <br />Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte. <br />A. STAFF PRESENTATION <br />Masood Malik, City Planner, presented staff's report. <br />Twenty -Seven public hearing notices were mailed to property owners within 200' of the <br />subject property. The City received six responses in favor of the Variance and one was <br />returned undeliverable. <br />B. PROPONENTS <br />There were none. <br />C. OPPONENTS <br />There were none. <br />D. PROPONENTS REBUTTAL <br />Mark Follis of 111 N. Broadway, spoke in favor of the Variance 11- 93000002. <br />Motion by Gilbert Montemayor to approve Variance Request #11- 93000002, for the property <br />located at 10804 Mesquite Drive to allow an additional 95 sq. ft. of concrete surfacing to remain in <br />place. Consider Variance Request #11- 93000003 for the property located at 302 North 11 Street, <br />further described by the Harris County Appraisal District as Lots 12 -16, Block 74, Town of La <br />Porte, Johnson Hunter Survey, Abstract 35, La Porte, Harris County, Texas. Walter Johnson, <br />property owner, seeks a variance to erect a fence at 5' instead of 20' from the property line in <br />the front yard setback per Section 106 -797 of the Code of Ordinances. This variance is being <br />sought under the terms of Section 106- 192(b) (2) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br />Porte. <br />A.
